myPrimobox is the online document space your employer gives you access to, mostly for receiving pay slips (myPrimobox). Two-factor authentication (2FA) is optional. If you don't turn it on, myPrimobox has asked every user for a code sent by email at sign-in since July 15, 2024. Once an authenticator app is on, the app's 6-digit code takes the place of that email code (myPrimobox).

The help pages mention no backup codes, so read the section on losing your phone before you start. This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone. Any authenticator app works the same way, and myPrimobox's own page tells you to install the app of your choice.

How we checked this guide: the myPrimobox steps come from myPrimobox's own help center, linked below, including the screenshots on its pages, which we read on October 24, 2026. Most of these pages are in French, and the translations are ours. We haven't tested them on a myPrimobox account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Before you start: use a computer

myPrimobox's help says to do this on a PC and scan the QR code from its screen with your phone (myPrimobox). It doesn't describe turning 2FA on in the mobile app.

The help screenshots show the French interface, so the labels below are in French, with a translation in brackets. myPrimobox can also be switched to English (myPrimobox), where the labels will differ.

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

These steps follow myPrimobox's activation article and its screenshots (myPrimobox):

  1. On your computer, sign in at www.myprimobox.net.
  2. Click the gear icon at the top right of the screen to open your profile.
  3. Open the Mes préférences tab (My preferences). Under Double authentification, click Activer (Turn on).
  4. A box called Confirmation de vos modifications asks for your password. Type it and click Valider (Confirm).
  5. The page Configuration de la double authentification opens with a QR code. It suggests Google Authenticator and FreeOTP, but you can use another app. In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the iPhone's camera at the computer screen.
  6. If the camera won't read it, click Afficher la clé d'activation (Show the activation key) to see a text key. In Novaz, tap +, then Enter key manually, and type the key as the Setup key. See What is a 2FA setup key?
  7. Type the 6-digit code from Novaz, without spaces, in Code unique d'activation (One-time activation code) and click Valider.

myPrimobox then signs you back in by itself. The Mes préférences tab now shows a green message that 2FA is on, with a Désactiver (Turn off) button.

myPrimobox's help doesn't say how often its codes change, only that each code lasts a few seconds. Scan the QR code if you can, because it tells Novaz the exact code settings. A key typed by hand always gets 6 digits every 30 seconds.

Signing in afterwards

Each time you sign in, you enter your username or email and your password as usual. myPrimobox then shows Code d'authentification à 6 chiffres (6-digit authentication code). Type the code Novaz shows into the six boxes and click Valider (myPrimobox).

With 2FA on, you shouldn't get the email code as well. The 90-day Ne plus me demander de code sur cet appareil (Don't ask me for a code on this device again) box belongs to the email code; the 2FA page says the app code is asked for at every sign-in.

If myPrimobox rejects your code

myPrimobox's 2FA pages don't cover rejected codes. Type the digits without spaces, then check your iPhone's clock: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically. Novaz warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. More causes are in Authenticator code not working?

Changing phones

The help center has no article about moving 2FA to a new phone, but it does document turning 2FA off and on again while signed in. So while you still have the old phone, turn 2FA off (below), then set it up again and scan the new QR code with the new phone. If you use Novaz's iCloud backup or a backup file, you can restore your accounts on the new iPhone instead and keep the same codes. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.

If you lose your authenticator

myPrimobox doesn't give backup codes and doesn't describe a second 2FA method. Its 2FA pages don't say what to do if you lose the app either. The route left is the support form (myPrimobox):

  • Choose the subject Questions sur l'authentification à doubles facteurs. The English form calls it Questions about two-factor authentication (myPrimobox).
  • Give your name, your email, the company tied to your space, and your employee number, which is printed on an earlier pay slip from that company.
  • For questions about your sign-in details, the form asks you to attach proof of identity.

myPrimobox says it replies within 48 hours. It doesn't say how it checks a 2FA reset or how long that takes. More in Lost the phone with your authenticator app?

Turning 2FA off

Sign in, open your profile with the gear icon, go to Mes préférences and click Désactiver. Confirm with your password (myPrimobox). After that, sign-in goes back to the email code. You can turn 2FA back on at any time.
