BnkToTheFuture (BF) is an online platform for investing in early-stage companies and crypto assets. BF's security page strongly recommends two-factor authentication (2FA) for every account, and it isn't optional for moving money out: BnkToTheFuture says you need it before you can make a withdrawal or change your payment and dividend settings (BnkToTheFuture, BnkToTheFuture).

The only method its help center describes is a six-digit code from an authenticator app, plus backup codes. It names Authy and Google Authenticator as examples. This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone, but any authenticator app works the same way.

How we checked this guide: the BnkToTheFuture steps come from BnkToTheFuture's own help center (BF Support, which its support page links to), including the screenshots in its 2FA article, which we read on October 24, 2026. We haven't tested them on a BnkToTheFuture account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Before you start

BnkToTheFuture's 2FA article has no date, and its screenshots show an older layout, so the labels below may not match exactly. The screenshot of the security page also says that 2FA covers sign-in with an email address and password. If you sign in to BF with Facebook or LinkedIn, the page says to turn on 2FA in that provider's settings instead (BnkToTheFuture).

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

These steps follow BnkToTheFuture's article on setting up 2FA (BnkToTheFuture):

  1. Sign in to your BF account on the web and open the Security tab of your account.
  2. Under 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (2FA), switch on the 2FA toggle.
  3. A QR code appears, with a key printed underneath it. In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at the code. If the QR code is on the same iPhone, take a screenshot, tap +, then Choose a photo. See how to scan a QR code on the same iPhone.
  4. If scanning doesn't work, type the key instead. In Novaz, tap +, then Enter key manually, fill in Service (for example, BnkToTheFuture) and, if you like, Account, then paste or type the key into Setup key. More in What is a 2FA setup key?
  5. Type the six-digit code Novaz shows into the CURRENT 6 DIGIT PIN field, then click UPDATE.
  6. A pop-up shows your backup codes. Copy them before you close it.

BnkToTheFuture doesn't name the key or say how often its codes change. Scanning the QR code is the safer route, because the code carries those settings to your app. A key typed by hand in Novaz always makes six-digit codes that change every 30 seconds.

Keep the backup codes

According to BnkToTheFuture, each backup code works once, and you can use one to sign in if you lose access to your authenticator device (BnkToTheFuture). The article only mentions the pop-up during setup. It doesn't say whether you can see the codes again later or make new ones, so save them right away.

Without a Novaz backup (iCloud backup or a backup file), its keys exist only on your iPhone, so these codes are your way back in. Store them somewhere other than your phone, such as a password manager on another device or a printed copy. See 2FA backup codes.

When BF asks for a code

The setup screen in BnkToTheFuture's screenshot says that, once 2FA is on, you give a code along with your email and password every time you sign in. On top of that, the code protects withdrawals: the help center describes it as one of several layers a thief would need to get past, together with your BF account and your email (BnkToTheFuture).

If BnkToTheFuture rejects your code

BnkToTheFuture's help center has no advice on rejected codes. The most common cause is a phone clock that has drifted. On iPhone, open Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Novaz warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. More fixes are in Authenticator code not working?

Changing phones

The help center doesn't describe moving 2FA to a new phone or turning it off. With a Novaz iCloud backup or backup file, you can restore your accounts on the new iPhone; without one, a new phone means adding BnkToTheFuture again. Keep the old phone and your backup codes until BF accepts codes from the new one, and ask BF Support (below) if you're unsure how to switch. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.

If you lose your authenticator

Sign in with one of your backup codes (BnkToTheFuture). Each code works only once, so set up 2FA again on your current phone once you're in.

If you don't have a backup code, BnkToTheFuture's pages don't describe a recovery process, what proof it asks for, or how long it takes. The route its help center offers for anything else is Send us a Message on BF Support, or the support email address listed there (BnkToTheFuture).
