Vend is the new name of Schibsted Marketplaces, the group behind FINN in Norway, Blocket in Sweden, DBA in Denmark and Tori in Finland (FINN). A Vend Account (Vend-konto) is the shared login for its services, and each of those four countries has its own (Vend). In Norway it covers FINN.no, Helthjem and Morgenlevering. You don't type a password: Vend emails you a one-time code each time you sign in (FINN).

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second code from an authenticator app or a text message, and FINN encourages everyone to turn it on (FINN). This guide follows the Norwegian account through FINN. We use Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone, but any authenticator app works the same way.

How we checked this guide: the Vend steps come from FINN's help center, including its screenshots, and Vend's own account page, linked below, which we read on October 22, 2026. FINN's articles were read through the help center's public article feed. The screens are in Norwegian, so we give each label with an English translation. We haven't tested the steps on a Vend Account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Who has to use it

FINN Jobb business customers do. FINN requires 2FA before you can see applicant data, such as applicant management and emails about applicants (FINN). For everyone else it's optional.

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

Use a PC or Mac. FINN says this can't be done in the FINN app (FINN).

  1. On finn.no, open Min FINN (My FINN) in the top right.
  2. Choose Innstillinger (Settings), then Sikkerhet (Security).
  3. Under Totrinnsautentisering (two-factor authentication), click Endre (Change). This opens the Autentiseringsmetoder (Authentication methods) page.
  4. Next to Autentiseringsapp (Authentication app), click Aktiver (Activate). The other choice is SMS-kode (SMS code).
  5. FINN's business article suggests Google Authenticator, but you can use any app (FINN). When the QR code appears, open Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and aim at the computer screen. If the code is on your iPhone's own screen, take a screenshot, tap +, then Choose a photo. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
  6. Type the six-digit code Novaz shows into the boxes on the computer. If you get an error, go back and scan the QR code again.
  7. Click Lukk (Close).

FINN's articles don't mention a text key to type instead of scanning, or how often the codes change. Scanning is the way to go, since it hands Novaz the code settings.

Check the on/off switch

After Lukk you're back on the security page. The Totrinnsautentisering box should show it's on: older screens say Totrinnsautentisering er PÅ, newer ones Status: På. If it's off, choose Slå PÅ (Turn on) and confirm with a fresh code from Novaz (FINN). With the switch on, you confirm with your method every time you sign in (FINN).

FINN's business article, from 2025, also asks for your password at this step. Newer FINN pages say sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, so expect a code rather than a password prompt (FINN).

No backup codes

FINN's help doesn't mention backup or recovery codes, or say how to get back in without your authenticator. Two things lower the risk:

  • Turn on SMS too. It's the other method on the same page. Without a Novaz backup, Novaz's keys exist only on your iPhone, so a phone number is a useful fallback. See authenticator app vs. SMS.
  • Protect your email. Every sign-in starts with a code sent there, and FINN names access to your login email as a common way accounts get taken over (FINN).

If Vend rejects your code

FINN's only advice is for setup: go back and rescan. For codes that fail later, check your iPhone's clock: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically. Novaz warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. More causes are in Authenticator code not working?

Changing phones

FINN's help doesn't describe moving the authenticator to a new phone. In Novaz, you can restore your accounts on the new iPhone from iCloud backup or a backup file. Without one, keep the old phone until Vend works with the new one, and ask FINN how to switch if the account pages don't make it clear. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.

If you lose your authenticator

If SMS is also on, use the text code. Otherwise, FINN's help gives no recovery steps, proof list or timeline. The help center's contact route is the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner (FINN). If you think someone else got into your account, FINN asks you to report it to sikkerhet@finn.no right away (FINN). More in Lost the phone with your authenticator app?

Turning 2FA off

FINN's help doesn't describe turning 2FA off. The Autentiseringsmetoder page, reached through Endre, is where the methods live. Once Vend no longer asks for the code, open the account in Novaz and tap Remove account.
