Xplenty, the cloud data pipeline service, now goes by Integrate.io. Old xplenty.com links, including the old two-factor help page, now open on integrate.io. After you sign in, you choose between its two products, ETL & Reverse ETL and ELT & CDC. Two-factor authentication (2FA) belongs to the sign-in itself, before that choice.

2FA is optional, and the only method Integrate.io documents is an authenticator app that makes time-based codes. Its help names Google Authenticator, Authy and Salesforce Authenticator as examples, but any app of that kind works (Integrate.io). This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone. Novaz works the same way as the apps Integrate.io names.

Two things set Integrate.io apart. It gives you no backup codes, and its help warns you not to reset your password if you lose your codes. Read the recovery section below before you turn 2FA on.

How we checked this guide: the Integrate.io steps come from Integrate.io's own documentation, linked below, which we read on October 24, 2026. The 2FA page was last modified on October 5, 2026. We haven't tested the steps on an Integrate.io account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

The setting is in your account settings, not inside either product. Integrate.io's help says to open it after you sign in but before you pick ETL & Reverse ETL or ELT & CDC (Integrate.io):

  1. Sign in to Integrate.io. Stay on the first screen and don't choose a product yet.
  2. Click the settings gear, then Two Factor Authentication.
  3. Enter your current password and click Enable 2FA.
  4. Integrate.io shows a QR code. In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at the screen. If the QR code is on your iPhone's own screen, take a screenshot, tap +, then Choose a photo. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
  5. If you'd rather type a key, click the blue the secret key link to show the text key. In Novaz, tap +, then Enter key manually, fill in Service (for example, Integrate.io), and paste or type the key as the Setup key. See What is a 2FA setup key?
  6. Novaz now shows a code for Integrate.io. Type it on the Integrate.io 2FA settings page and click Enable.

Integrate.io says its codes last about 30 seconds, the same as codes from a typed key in Novaz. When setup works, a banner on the 2FA page says 2FA is enabled.

Take note of one thing before you leave that page. Integrate.io won't show the same QR code or key again after setup (Integrate.io). Unless you turn on iCloud backup in Novaz, or export a backup file after adding Integrate.io, the key exists only on that iPhone, so it becomes your only source of codes.

Signing in afterwards

Once 2FA is on, Integrate.io asks for a code every time you sign in, right after your password (Integrate.io). Its help doesn't mention trusted devices or a way to skip the code.

If your company signs you in to Integrate.io with single sign-on (SSO), Integrate.io supports SAML 2.0 with G Suite (now Google Workspace), Salesforce and Auth0 among the providers it lists. Integrate.io points out that most of these identity providers offer their own multi-factor authentication (Integrate.io). Its help doesn't say how its own 2FA works with SSO sign-in.

If Integrate.io rejects your code

Integrate.io's advice during setup is to wait for the app to show a new code and try that one (Integrate.io). If codes keep failing, check the iPhone's clock: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically. Novaz also warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. More causes are in Authenticator code not working?

Changing phones

Integrate.io has no way to move 2FA to a new device. You turn 2FA off on the settings page, then turn it on again with the new phone (Integrate.io). That works only while you can still sign in, so do it while you still have the old iPhone. In Novaz, an iCloud backup or a backup file lets you restore your accounts on the new iPhone instead, so the codes keep working without this step. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.

If you lose your authenticator

Integrate.io's help doesn't mention backup codes or any second method, so here's what it does suggest (Integrate.io):

  • If you're still signed in somewhere, go to the 2FA settings page and turn 2FA off. You only need your current password.
  • Don't reset your password. Integrate.io warns that a reset signs you out at once, so you lose the session you could have used to turn 2FA off.
  • If you're locked out, email Integrate.io support at support@integrate.io to get back in.

The help page doesn't say what proof support asks for or how long it takes. More in Lost the phone with your authenticator app?

Turning 2FA off

On the same Two Factor Authentication settings page, enter your current password and click Disable (Integrate.io). In Novaz, open the Integrate.io account and tap Remove account to delete the old key.
