Rejoiner 2FA: how to set up an authenticator app

Novaz steps checked against version 1.0.5

Rejoiner is an email and SMS marketing platform for ecommerce brands, and your Rejoiner user account is how you get into its dashboard of lists, journeys and reports (Rejoiner). Two-factor authentication (2FA) isn't optional there. Rejoiner says every user has had to set it up since January 2021 (Rejoiner). At sign-in you enter your password plus a code from either an authenticator app or a text message, and Rejoiner accepts any app that makes time-based (TOTP) codes.
This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone. Any authenticator app works the same way. If you're choosing between the two methods, see authenticator app vs. SMS.
How we checked this guide: the Rejoiner steps come from Rejoiner's own documentation, including its screenshots, linked below, which we read on October 21, 2026. We haven't tested them on a Rejoiner account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.
Where the setup happens
There's no switch to look for in Rejoiner's settings, because you can't skip 2FA. Rejoiner's documentation places the setup at the end of joining an account (Rejoiner):
- Someone on your team invites you from Settings > Users with Invite New User. You get an email from support@rejoiner.com, or they send you the invite link directly.
- Open the link to confirm your email address.
- Choose a password for your Rejoiner account.
- Rejoiner then asks you to set up two-factor authentication. Choose the authenticator app option if you're offered a choice.
Rejoiner's pages stop there. They don't show the setup screen itself, so we can't tell you its exact labels or whether it shows a text key next to the QR code. In Novaz it goes like this:
- QR code: tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at the screen. If the code is on the same iPhone, take a screenshot and use Choose a photo instead. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
- Text key: tap +, then Enter key manually, type Rejoiner as the Service, your email as the Account, and paste the key into Setup key. See What is a 2FA setup key?
Then type the current code from Novaz to finish. Rejoiner doesn't say how many digits its codes have or how often they change. Scanning is the safer choice, because the QR code passes those settings to the app. A key typed by hand always gets 6-digit, 30-second codes.
Signing in afterwards
Each time you sign in at rj2.rejoiner.com (the Log in link on rejoiner.com), Rejoiner asks for your password and then a code. Its documentation doesn't mention a "remember this device" option or extra checks for sensitive actions.
No backup codes in the docs
Rejoiner's pages say nothing about backup or recovery codes. So don't count on a backup you haven't seen. In Novaz, turning on iCloud backup or exporting a backup file under Settings > Backup gives you a copy of the key; without one, it exists only on your iPhone. If the setup screen does give you codes, save them away from your phone. More in 2FA backup codes.
If Rejoiner rejects your code
Rejoiner has no troubleshooting page for codes. The usual cause is the iPhone's clock: open Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Novaz also warns you when your clock is 15 seconds or more off. Other causes are in Authenticator code not working?
Changing phones or switching to text messages
To change your 2FA device or method, Rejoiner points you to your own account settings (Rejoiner):
- Click Settings in the main navigation.
- Open the User Account tab.
- Find Two Factor Authentication and click Remove Multi-Factor Device.
The page doesn't describe what comes after the removal. Do it while you're still signed in and the old phone still works, so you aren't left without a way in. With a Novaz iCloud backup or backup file, you can restore Rejoiner on the new iPhone and skip the removal. Without one, a new phone means adding Rejoiner again. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.
Because 2FA is required for every user, Rejoiner documents no way to turn it off for good. Remove Multi-Factor Device is for replacing the device or method, not for opting out.
If you lose your authenticator
Rejoiner doesn't document a self-service recovery, a list of proof it asks for, or how long a reset takes. Its general help route is support: email support@rejoiner.com or call +1 (800) 284-4603, extension 2 (Rejoiner). Write from the email address on your Rejoiner user account.
