Faucet Crypto 2FA: how to set up an authenticator app

Faucet Crypto pays small amounts of cryptocurrency for tasks such as PTC ads, surveys and offerwalls, and you withdraw what you earn to your own wallet (Faucet Crypto). Two-factor authentication (2FA) is optional, and the only method the knowledge base describes is an authenticator app that makes time-based (TOTP) codes. There's no text-message option in its help.
The part to plan for is recovery. Faucet Crypto's help names one way back into an account when the authenticator is gone: the recovery codes you get at setup (Faucet Crypto). This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone. Any authenticator app works the same way.
How we checked this guide: the Faucet Crypto steps come from Faucet Crypto's own knowledge base, including its screenshots, linked below, which we read on October 22, 2026. We haven't tested them on a Faucet Crypto account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.
Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app
Faucet Crypto has no iPhone or Android app; you use it in a web browser (Faucet Crypto). A computer is easiest, because you can point your iPhone at the screen. The knowledge base describes these steps (Faucet Crypto):
- Sign in at faucetcrypto.com.
- At the bottom of the side menu, click the icon next to your username and choose Account Settings.
- Scroll down to the Two Factor Authentication box and click Enable.
- The box changes to Finish enabling two factor authentication. and shows a QR code with a Setup Key under it.
- In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at the code. If the page is open on the same iPhone, take a screenshot, tap +, then Choose a photo. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
- If you can't scan, copy the Setup Key. In Novaz, tap +, then Enter key manually, type Faucet Crypto as the Service, and paste the key into Setup key. See What is a 2FA setup key?
- Type the 6-digit code from Novaz into the Code field and click Confirm.
The box then reads You have enabled two factor authentication. The text in that box mentions Google Authenticator, and the knowledge base also names Authy, but the QR code is a standard one that any authenticator app can read.
The help doesn't say how often Faucet Crypto's codes change, only that they refresh within a short time. Scanning the QR code is the safer choice, since it passes the code settings to your app.
Save your recovery codes right away
Right after setup, the same box lists your recovery codes. The screenshot in the help shows eight of them, with the advice "Store these recovery codes in a secure password manager." (Faucet Crypto). Copy them before you leave the page, and keep them somewhere other than the iPhone that holds Novaz, such as a password manager on your computer or a printout.
They're your way in if the phone is lost and you have no Novaz backup (iCloud backup or Export to file…), or one that's out of date. The same box has a Regenerate Recovery Codes button, which you can use if you've lost track of the old set. The help doesn't say whether old codes stop working when you do, so treat the new list as the only valid one. More in 2FA backup codes.
When Faucet Crypto asks for a code
According to the knowledge base, you're asked for the code when you sign in on a new device, not on every visit. The prompt appears on a Two-Factor Code screen: type the current code from Novaz and click Verify Code (Faucet Crypto).
You can also create an account with Google or X instead of an email and password (Faucet Crypto). The help doesn't say whether the code prompt applies to those sign-ins too.
If Faucet Crypto rejects your code
Faucet Crypto's help has no advice for a rejected code. Most often the cause is the iPhone's clock. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Novaz warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. Other causes are in Authenticator code not working?
Changing phones
The knowledge base doesn't describe moving 2FA to a new phone. If you have a Novaz iCloud backup or backup file, restore it on the new iPhone and your Faucet Crypto codes keep working. Otherwise, the route the help does document is to turn 2FA off with Disable in the Two Factor Authentication box, then click Enable again and scan the new QR code with the new phone. Do this while the old phone still works. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.
If you lose your authenticator
On the Two-Factor Code screen, click Use a recovery code. Enter one of your saved codes in the Recovery Code field and click Verify Code (Faucet Crypto). Once you're in, set up 2FA again on your new phone and save the new recovery codes.
The knowledge base doesn't cover what happens if you've lost both the authenticator and the recovery codes. It doesn't describe a reset, what proof Faucet Crypto would ask for, or how long it would take. For anything its help doesn't answer, it points you to a support ticket at faucetcrypto.com/support or a direct message to @faucetcryptocom on X (Faucet Crypto).
