Your Kajabi account is the login for app.kajabi.com, where creators run their Kajabi sites, courses and payments. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is optional for many accounts, but not all. Kajabi makes it mandatory for every owner and account user once Kajabi Payments is on for any site in the account. It's also required for Kajabi Partners who have sent a Client Link request, and for accounts where Kajabi has switched it on (Kajabi).

Kajabi offers two ways to get codes: an authenticator app or a text message. It never sends sign-in codes by email, and texts don't reach every country, so the app is the option that works everywhere. This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone, but any authenticator app works the same way.

How we checked this guide: the Kajabi steps come from Kajabi's own help center, linked below, which we read on October 21, 2026. We haven't tested them on a Kajabi account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

Kajabi logs you out partway through, so have your password ready. If you've only ever signed in with Google, create a password first in Sign In & Security (Kajabi).

  1. Go to Account Settings > Sign In & Security.
  2. In the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section, click Set up 2FA.
  3. Click Log out and continue, then log in again. The setup screen opens.
  4. Choose Google Authenticator or similar. Any authenticator app works.
  5. Kajabi shows a QR code. In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at it. If the QR code is on your iPhone's screen, take a screenshot, tap +, then Choose a photo. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
  6. If you can't scan it, click Trouble Scanning?. Kajabi shows a code to type instead. In Novaz, tap +, then Enter key manually, and put that code in Setup key. See What is a 2FA setup key?
  7. Type the 6-digit code from Novaz on the setup screen and click Continue.
  8. Save the recovery code Kajabi shows. Kajabi suggests a password manager.

Kajabi's help says its app codes are 6 digits and change every 30 seconds, which matches what Novaz makes when you type a key by hand.

One recovery code, replaced each time

Kajabi gives you a single recovery code, not a list. When you use it, Kajabi shows a new one and the old one stops working. So after every use, save the new code before you click Sign in (Kajabi).

If the phone is gone and you have no Novaz backup (iCloud backup or a backup file), the recovery code is your way back in. Keep it somewhere other than that phone. More in 2FA backup codes.

When Kajabi asks for a code

Kajabi asks for a code after your password every time you log in, including when you sign in with Google. On the code screen, Remember this device for 30 days skips the prompt on that browser for a month (Kajabi).

If Kajabi rejects your code

Kajabi's advice is to let your phone set its date and time automatically, because app codes depend on an accurate clock. On iPhone, open Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Novaz also warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. For other causes, see Authenticator code not working?

Getting a new iPhone

Do this before you wipe the old phone. In Sign In & Security, click Change in the 2FA section, enter your password, click Confirm, then Log out and continue and set up the authenticator again on the new phone (Kajabi). Kajabi says changing 2FA removes every authenticator app and phone number on the account. If you back up Novaz, you can skip this: restore your accounts on the new iPhone from iCloud backup or a backup file, and the Kajabi entry keeps working. Without a backup, this is the way across. See How to transfer your authenticator app to a new iPhone.

If you lose your authenticator

First try your recovery code. Log in with your email and password, then click Use recovery code on the code screen.

If you don't have the recovery code either, Kajabi lets you reset 2FA yourself, with no support ticket (Kajabi):

  1. Log in with your email and password, then click Reset code on the 2FA screen.
  2. Open the email titled "Your Kajabi verification code".
  3. Enter its 6-digit code within 10 minutes and click Verify.
  4. Log in again and set up a new 2FA method.

You get 5 tries per code and up to 3 new codes through Resend code. Too many attempts within 15 minutes block resets for up to 15 minutes. Because this reset runs through your inbox, keep your email account secure too; Kajabi recommends 2FA on it (Kajabi). See also Lost the phone with your authenticator app?

Turning 2FA off

In Sign In & Security, click Disable, enter your password and click Confirm. If you see Why can't I disable? instead, your account requires 2FA and you can't turn it off (Kajabi). After you turn it off, remove the Kajabi entry in Novaz: open it and tap Remove account.
