PowerReviews is the ratings and reviews platform that brands and retailers use to collect and show customer reviews. Its team members sign in to the PowerReviews Portal, and that's the account this guide covers. Two things set it apart. You can't sign up on your own: your Customer Success Manager requests the account for you. And the second step of two-factor authentication (2FA) isn't handled by PowerReviews itself but by OneLogin, a separate sign-in service that the Portal sends you to the first time you log in (PowerReviews).

PowerReviews' help names two apps for the code: Google Authenticator or the OneLogin app. This guide uses Authenticator App - Novaz on iPhone with the Google Authenticator option. Novaz, like other authenticator apps, reads that kind of barcode the same way.

How we checked this guide: the PowerReviews steps come from PowerReviews' own help article, linked below, which we read on October 20, 2026. That article now redirects to PowerReviews' new community site, which blocked automated access, so we read it in an archived copy on web.archive.org, captured on September 8, 2025. The article itself is dated September 4, 2022. We haven't tested the steps on a PowerReviews account, so a label may differ slightly. The Novaz steps are checked against the app, version 1.0.5.

Before you start

  • You need an account first. Ask your Customer Success Manager. Once the account exists, PowerReviews emails you a welcome message with a link to create your password. Click Save new password when you're done (PowerReviews).
  • Have Novaz on your iPhone. The article asks you to install the authenticator app before the barcode step, and recommends a mobile device for the codes.

Turn on 2FA with an authenticator app

The setup starts on your first sign-in to the Portal, which you reach from the Customer Login link on powerreviews.com. PowerReviews' article describes these steps (PowerReviews):

  1. Sign in to the PowerReviews Portal with your new password. A Register a Device message appears.
  2. Click Continue. The Portal sends you to OneLogin.
  3. On the OneLogin page, enter your PowerReviews email address and password, then click Log In. OneLogin says you don't have a strong authentication factor set up yet.
  4. In the Select OTP Method dropdown, choose Google Authenticator.
  5. OneLogin shows a barcode. In Novaz, tap +, then Scan QR code, and point the camera at it. If the barcode is on your iPhone's own screen, take a screenshot and use Choose a photo instead. See scanning a QR code on the same iPhone.
  6. Type the code Novaz shows into OneLogin and click Log In. OneLogin sends you back to the Portal.
  7. Enter your PowerReviews credentials again and click Login.
  8. Enter the 6-digit code from Novaz, choose Google Authenticator in the Select Device dropdown, and click Submit.

The article only mentions scanning the barcode. It doesn't mention a text key you could type by hand, so plan to scan. Because the article dates from 2022, the screens you see may look different, but the order (Portal, then OneLogin, then back to the Portal) should be the same.

Signing in afterwards

The article shows the Portal asking for your 6-digit code and the device you registered after your password. It doesn't say whether that happens on every sign-in or only some of them. If Select Device lists more than one entry, choose the one that matches the app you set up, which is Google Authenticator if you followed this guide.

No backup codes mentioned

PowerReviews' article doesn't mention backup or recovery codes, a second method, or how to turn 2FA off. Unless you back up Novaz, that iPhone is your only source of PowerReviews codes. Keep it, and know who to contact (below) before you need them.

If PowerReviews rejects your code

The article has no advice on rejected codes. Start with your iPhone's clock: open Settings > General > Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically. Novaz also warns you when the clock is 15 seconds or more off. Then check that you typed the code on the right screen: setup asks for it twice, once on OneLogin and once in the Portal. More causes are in Authenticator code not working?

New phone or lost phone

PowerReviews doesn't document how to move 2FA to a new phone or what to do if you lose it. Its help pages list PowerReviews Technical Support at pwr-support@1worldsync.atlassian.net, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central Time (PowerReviews). That's the route to ask for a reset. Your Customer Success Manager, who set up your account, is another place to start. PowerReviews doesn't say what proof it asks for or how long a reset takes.

If you're changing iPhones, you can restore Novaz on the new one from iCloud backup or a backup file. Without a backup, contact support before you give up the old phone, since the new one needs a fresh setup.
